Not every dessert needs to be baked from scratch or planned days in advance.
Sometimes, the best ones are the ones you put together in a few minutes - using simple ingredients, layered thoughtfully, and served in a way that feels just a little more special than usual.
These spiced biscuit cream pots are exactly that.
They’re easy, flexible, and designed to be assembled rather than baked. Something you can make for an afternoon treat, bring out when people come over, or put together when you want a dessert without too much effort.

What you’ll need
- Speculoos-style biscuits (like ours - try our sample pack)
- 250ml thickened cream
- 250g mascarpone (or use all cream for a lighter version)
- 1–2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- espresso or strong coffee (optional)
- caramel sauce (optional)
- fresh berries or sliced banana (optional)
How to assemble
1. Start by lightly crushing the biscuits - not too fine, you want some texture.
2. If you’re using coffee, dip each piece briefly before layering. If not, you can use them as they are.
3. In a bowl, whisk together the cream, mascarpone, vanilla, and maple syrup until smooth and slightly thickened.
4. Then layer:
- biscuits
- cream
- biscuits again
5. Finish with a spoon of caramel, fruit, or a dusting of crushed biscuits on top.
6. Serve in small glasses, jars, or even teacups.

A few ways to make it your own
This is the kind of dessert that works with whatever you have.
- Add a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg to bring out the spice in the biscuits
- Swap coffee for chai for something warmer
- Keep it simple with just cream and biscuits and a drizzle of honey
- Change caramel sauce to pistachio cream
- Or dress it up with toppings if you’re serving it to guests
When to serve it
These work just as well for:
- a relaxed dessert after dinner
- something sweet with afternoon tea
- a simple option when friends come over
- or even as a thoughtful homemade gift
Because they look considered, without requiring much effort.
A final note
There’s something nice about desserts like this.
They don’t require precision or perfection. You can taste as you go, adjust, and make them your own.
And when you take a moment to sit down and enjoy them properly, they become more than just something sweet - they turn into part of the experience.
